Aegopodium podagraria
It is a perennial plant that grows up to 1 m in height. It has double, trifoliate leaves with an asymmetrical ovoid shape. They are serrated at the edges. The flowers of the elderberry are tiny and form large compound umbels. It blooms from June to July. Such umbellate consists of 12-20 individual flowers.
It contains a number of medicinal substances, which is why this plant was used to treat gout, sciatica and wounds. Currently, fresh herb can be used in cosmetics in the form of masks thanks to its warming properties, and the infusion of ground elderberry helps to fight digestive and urinary system ailments. Despite its pro-health properties, it should be remembered that it is a characteristic weed, therefore its presence may impede the growth of other plants.
